The Fourniér Center for Empowerment has been generating permanent transformation in children, adults, families, businesses and non-profit groups through our empowering programs since 1992, with earlier involvement in the non-profit sector dating back to 1984 with the Child Crisis Center.

During this time independent studies have revealed the limited and short-term impact that plagues most ‘Character Building’, ‘Self-Help’ and ‘Personal Development’ programs. As a result of these studies we have now created ways of ensuring lasting results for virtually anyone who participates in this process, including those with the greatest challenges, such as abused, homeless or chronically depressed children and those who are affected by illness, poverty, low self-worth, entitlement mentality or other self-destructive states.

Our programs were created in response to the enormous outcry for an effective means of empowering children, teens and families (including those who are ‘at risk’ or in under-serviced communities) with greater character, values and social skills for living happy, healthy, successful lives, ensuring that ALL children, families and communities have access to these highly effective programs.

We offer families mastery over their behavior, feelings, relationships, effectiveness and success in life by helping them gain permanent control of their habits, programs and perceptions. Emotional and Social IQ are real and every bit as important as Intelligence. Studies have shown absolutely no correlation between intelligence and happiness… NONE; in fact, highly intelligent people are quite often more irritable, frustrated, upset and stressed out than anyone.

Participants achieve an immediately measurable transformation through a unique combination of hyper-learning protocols, entertainment, social interaction and support, progressive-spaced-repetition and ongoing application through a system we call PermaLearn.

There exists a state of consciousness for every human being where spontaneous joy, balance, peace and serenity flourish; where it is nearly impossible to remain sad, angry, upset or worried; where problems, disappointment and fear cannot endure; where isolation and self-doubt are replaced with self-love and confidence and where brilliant solutions, empowered leadership, compassion and acts of heroism are everyday occurrences -- and it is possible for every human being to experience and even master this extraordinary state if given sufficient understanding, tools and support. It is our goal to not only instill elevated character traits in those who participate in these programs, but to give them everything they need to achieve this enlightened state of consciousness and the countless rewards that come with it.

As a result of our research and commitments we’ve created a multi-pronged objective:

1. To inform the public of the critical need for elevating character and consciousness in our children, families and communities, as well as the importance of doing so via as many platforms as possible (including our schools, home-life, athletics and other community forums) to help ensure both saturation and consistency in what they are learning.

In order to accomplish this goal, we offer to speak at public events and meetings as well as provide the media with news releases and public service announcements. We also intend to influence government policy with legislature in ways that bring more funding to this area and create laws that will help make Character Development and shifts in Self-Awareness and Consciousness a higher priority in schools and communities.

2. To research and develop highly effective tools, programs and systems that not only expose children and families to advanced forms of Character and Consciousness, while assisting them in permanently incorporating them into their fundamental nature through our PermaLearn System.

Realizing that everything we teach needs to be universally embraced, we have found a way to eliminate controversy regarding what we are teaching. We have achieved this objective by only offering those teachings that appear in virtually ALL religious, social and cultural doctrine, and then we do focus group pre-testing on each message with a wide range of groups representing nearly all beliefs, philosophies cultures and creeds to ensure ‘acceptability’.

3. To provide these solutions to ALL children, families and communities via schools, non-profit organizations (such as the YMCA, the JCC’s, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, abuse agencies and shelters, etc.); and through parks and recreation departments, families, religious organizations, private and business operations and via retail outlets.

As a result of our research and commitments we’ve created a multi-pronged objective:

Raising the bar for raising our children:

Ours is not the only initiative focused on making character development in our children a higher priority and more effective process, however, it may well be the most effective; one of our greatest areas of proven strength over the years has been our ability to not only teach character, principles and social consciousness but to convert them into an individual’s fundamental nature, making them an automatic and natural part of who they are. We are committed to going beyond ‘education and information’, to ensure they not only understand what we teach, but more importantly, incorporate them into their basic nature. Our goal is to not only to help them ‘survive’ but rather to THRIVE as happy, healthy, self-actualized individuals, empowered leaders and creative problem-solvers who deeply appreciate their lives, eagerly contribute to others and feel safe, loved, confident and unstoppable. Example: Telling our children to ‘Just say NO’… is not enough; who are they saying ‘No’ to… some troubled group leader or bully wielding the power to turn anyone who defies them into a social outcast or ‘looser’? Humans are social beings; the need to ‘fit in’ and feel accepted is virtually overpowering. The answer isn’t in telling our children to behave in a manner inconsistent with their nature… but rather to alter their nature… help them become ‘empowered’… so THEY are the ones who lead the groups and ‘ask the questions’. And as empowered leaders, they will be asking questions of an empowered nature such as “How can our group help the environment?” 'Mankind' is but a reflection of man… And where do we see our reflection more clearly than in our own child? Though not everyone enjoys looking at their reflection…it's the only way to know if we like the way our hair will turn out…or in this case our 'heir'. ~Mark Fourniér Are YOU happy, fulfilled and in control of your life? Our world, our futures and most of all, the futures of our children, depend upon a character-induced shift in consciousness and behavior.

Neither force, technology, nor knowledge alone will bring about ‘world peace; an end to hunger, poverty or global warming or many of our other tragic conditions’, nor will they bring about even the simple pleasures of life such as ‘sustained happiness, well being and fulfillment’. It MUST come from a shift in consciousness and character.
